Toning Down Polyurethane Shine
Although varnish can make your wooden floors beautiful, sometimes, it makes the floors look too shiny. People may not want to walk on it, afraid that they would slip, or simply because it gleams brighter than the snow on top of Mount Everest. To tone the shine down a bit, apply some WD-40 on the floor and wipe it with a cloth. This should do the trick!
