Melissa felt a whirlwind of emotions at the thought of confronting Steve, especially under these circumstances, but she understood the importance of the situation. She took a deep breath, nodded and, with determination in her voice, declared, “I’ll do it. But we have to make sure everything goes smoothly.” The officers exchanged glances and nodded, appreciating his bravery.

Agent Davis cleared his throat gravely. “Melissa, you have to understand the risks involved. If Steve is really involved in the robbery, he could react defensively or even become aggressive.” Melissa swallowed hard, taking in the gravity of the situation. “We’ll be watching every second, ready to intervene,” Agent Johnson added in an attempt to reassure her. “But you’ll be walking a tightrope.”
