The Dark Knight
Comic book movies have become all the rage these days. We daresay that Heath Ledger delivered one of the best portrayals of any villain when he appeared in The Dark Knight as the Joker. It’s on the list for the scene when Gordon’s promotion is made known to the officers in the precinct. As everyone applauds, the Joker sarcastically joins in as he begins clapping. Yup, you would not find this in the original screenplay but that does not make it any less chilling.

When it comes to horror movies, the scariest ones are usually the ones more grounded in reality. That’s why the tale of a vacation-turned-nightmare in Deliverance was so terrifying! This one is a bit graphic, we’re warning you. In the scene when the redneck asks one of the main characters to “Squeal like a pig!” as he is being sodomized was nothing sort of shocking. However, it was actually delivered off the cuff, though different cast members claim credit for it.
