His Stutter
On 60 Minutes, he talked about how he overcame his childhood stutter. School helped, and he spoke to his dog a lot too. In 2006, he opened the Tiger Woods Learning Center. His stutter was not well-known until he wrote to a suicidal suicide. He said, “I know what it’s like to be different and to sometimes not fit in. I also stuttered as a child and I would talk to my dog and he would sit there and listen until he fell asleep. I also took a class for two years to help me, and I finally learned to stop.”
