The old barn had not been utilized in decades. Everything was run down and had not been maintained. Why would he want his daughter to inherit this, when his sons received so much more? She used her phone torch to light the route as she navigated past the old rotting hay bales. There was an unusual odor in the air, but she had no idea how near she was to the reality.

After an hour of searching the barn, Jemma discovered nothing unusual. She was about to give up. She had even inspected the ancient loft by mounting the decrepit ladder. There was nothing there either, but it provided her with a fresh viewpoint. She gazed down at the barn floor, wishing she could understand why her father had left this old place to her. That’s when she noticed it.
