He continued to decline over the next two weeks. One day, he was told he would have to stay in the hospital for the foreseeable future. Jemma understood what that meant. She and her brothers crowded near his bed. They all grieved because they knew it was their last goodbye. Jemma was left reeling. It was something she would never get over.
